EyeOS – Características y Videotutorial
EyeOs es, en pocas palabras un escritorio web, ¿que es un escritorio web? pensad en vuestro sistema operativo, este está instalado en vuestro disco duro, ocupa espacio, necesita arrancar desde el disco duro, los escritorios web, sin embargo, están alojados en servidores, no ocupan espacio físico en tu ordenador, y son accesible desde cualquier sitio necesitando unicamente una cuenta de usuario.
EyeOs esta escrito en PHP, javascript y XML, lo que significa que si nuestro móvil, PSP, Ps3 soporta estos formatos, podremos acceder a un sistema operativo desde los mencionados dispositivos.
EyeOs cuenta con 67 aplicaciones y utilidades, pudiendo leer desde archivos de texto hasta documentos PDF, gracias a la posibilidad de importar archivos desde tu ordenador al escritorio web, podrás trabajar desde el con contenidos almacenados en DVD’s, discos duros, memorias externas…
Entre sus programas, cabe destacar el conjunto de aplicaciones ofimáticas, servicio de mensajería interno (para otros EyeOS) y externo, agendas, juegos, conexión a internet e incluso la posibilidad de cambiar la versión del escritorio (desk fusion) a una mas moderna y cercana a Windows 7.
EyeOs además, permite la creación de nuevas herramientas con el único impedimento de que requiere conocer el lenguaje de programación PHP y Ajax.
Las ventajas de utilizar un escritorio web son muchas, para empezar, no existe la necesidad de contar con un ordenador que cumpla unos requisitos específicos, cualquier ordenador con un navegador y los plugins necesarios podrá ejecutar sin problemas este escritorio web, otra ventaja es poder acceder desde cualquier sitio a «tu» escritorio web, EyeOs también se puede utilizar de forma local, para ello, unicamente necesitaremos el xampp y alojaremos en el el EyeOS, de esta manera, podremos utilizarlo sin depender por completo de internet, útil como alternativa para aquellos días en los que nuestra conexión no ayuda.
